The City of Fort Worth IT Solutions Department is seeking an individual to fill the position of IT Programmer Analyst I. This is an entry-level position of the Programmer/Analyst series. This position will primarily assist and work with upper level staff in a variety of situations, projects and assignments. Tasks and functions normally assigned to this level are generally routine in nature and any deviations or decisions from routine are generally assisted or approved by upper level staff.
Skills / Requirements
Bachelors Degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in Computer Science, Information Technology or a closely related field
OR Four (4) years experience in Application Development/Maintenance & Support may substitute for degree requirement.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:The successful candidate should be familiar with Wintel platforms (Windows XP), server platform (Dell and/or Stratus), Microsoft SQL Server (2005 and 2008), XML, Microsoft .Net (2.0 thru 4.5), SQL Reporting Services (2005 and 2008), development and system administration, Microsoft Visual Basic and 3rd party plug-ins (object orientated and structure coding), Active Server Pages, JavaScript and VBScript, HTML/CSS (Intranet/Internet architectures), and Internet Information Server (IIS).
Preferred candidates will have experience with GIS/ESRI products and Microsoft Sharepoint Services.
