This position is to lead and oversee a construction, operation and maintenance of traffic signals with the City.

Knowledge and experience with the equipment, such as traffic signals, traffic surveillance cameras and communication systems is essential.

The ability to develop long range work plans to optimize work efforts is required.

Skills / Requirements

An * Associate Degree from an accredited college in engineering or related field PLUS four (4) years of experience in the operational activities of a traffic signal program, with a minimum of two (2) years supervisory is experience required.

Experience in the planning and programming for the installation and maintenance of traffic signals and Intelligent Transportation systems is required.

The ability to develop long range work plans to optimize work efforts is required.

{ * A High School Diploma or GED Certificate PLUS six (6) years of noted experience may substitute in lieu of the noted Associates degree. }


OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
Possession of a valid drivers license and an acceptable driving record.


MISC. REQUIREMENTS:City of Fort Worth policy on acceptable driving record required.

Possession of a Masters Electrician license is preferred.

SHIFT HOURS:

Position will be assigned to a 5 day week; 7:00 am 3:30 pm; Subject to being on-call and working overtime, including weekends and holidays to respond to emergencies and complete priority projects.
